Electronic Mini Multi-Shot Tool
Applications
The EMMT can be positioned in small-diameter drill pipe and is particularly useful in coiled tubing operations. It can accommodate a radius of 35 feet compared to 80 feet for standard 1 3/4” OD multi-shot probes. It provides reliable sensor information for any type of directional drilling program. Short-radius applications can benefit from its small size and reliability in harsh drilling environments.
Components The EMMT is made up of two main components: the multi-shot probe and surface computer. Within the probe there is a ruggedized fluxgate and accelerometer package which enable the direction and inclination of the borehole to be accurately measured. The probe is plugged into the surface computer where data is downloaded and processed.

The Electronic Mini Multishot Tool (EMMT) represents the leading technological edge in open-hole (drill pipe) survey instruments. The system’s small size (1.375" OD by 44") and extended operational performance differentiates it from conventional electronic multishot products.

Gyroscopic surveys are unique and offer many advantages when creating a definitive subsurface map of your well. Unlike other tools gyroscope are not effected by magnetic interference or high angle. These primary advantages allow accurate surveys to be made inside drill pipe, casing and iron rich strata with out interference at angles from zero degrees to 45 degrees. Less downtime and accurate results save money and yield better overall results.
Javins Corporation has operated gyroscopes in mines in every state touched by the Appalachian Mountains, as well as on dams, in urban public works projects and numerous other areas. Javins Corporation operates a special slimhole gyroscopic survey system that weighs 60 lbs, is 10 ft. long, and has a 1.75" outside diameter.
The gyroscopic survey tool has several common orientation landings and can be easily equipped with other spears to orient your tools. Javins also rents UBHO subs and adapters to steer your drill string accurately.

Gyroscopic survey equipment works by referencing a fixed known location above ground and then measures its deviation from that location to find a definitive station location while sub-surface.
